  • Kelowna Visitor Centre achieved Gold Certification with Sustainable Tourism(Kelowna, 2020b)
  • Introduced more sustainable products example ‘Love for Kelowna’ reusable bottle filling (Tourism Kelowna, 2020b)
  • 20 rooftop solar panels installed, provided 10% of buildings energy needs and transitioning the Kelowna Explorer Vehicle to a hybrid (Tourism Kelowna, 2020b)
  • Participating in the Climate Action Plan (City of Kelowna, 2018)
  • Biosphere Adhesion Certification (Tourism Kelowna, 2020a). Tourism Kelowna has taken a pledge to promote sustainable tourism to its tourists.
